Frequently asked questions.

What kind of process do you use?

I use a process called Cyanotype. It is a 19th-century alternative photography printing process. When the cyanotype solution is exposed to UV light it turns a deep shade of blue. I paint the solution onto the fabric, then press botanicals and flowers on the garment and expose it to the sun to create my one-of-a-kind pieces.

Where did you learn this process?

I learned this process and other alternative photography processes at Montana State University. I graduated in 2018 with a film & photo degree.

Where are you located?

I work from my art studio in Bozeman Montana. I moved here from Washington 10 years ago for school and never looked back.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

I accept unworn, unwashed items as returns for up to 30 days. I do not accept items in exchange for custom orders. There are full return instructions on the email you received with tracking info. If you have additional questions about returning an item please send me an email.

What are the washing instructions?

These handmade items need special care & love. By following a few simple tips, you can extend the life of your garment's vibrant print.  Handle it with the tenderness it deserves.

Keep washing to a minimum if possible. I recommend hand-washing only. Turn your item inside out & do not use any soap or detergent containing phosphates, bleach, or sodium. Air dry or tumble alone on low heat. Do not dry in direct sunlight. Overwashing may cause the print to fade. If fading occurs over time, washing the print in a dilute bath of hydrogen peroxide can usually restore it to its original intensity.

Just like a good pair of vintage jeans, natural dye will change over time. I encourage you to embrace the ever-changing shades it brings. Though the colors may shift and blend like a mesmerizing watercolor painting, it's a testament to the living essence of the dye.

Where do you source your items?

All of my items are secondhand. I source high-quality pieces from local thrift stores, vintage shops, consignment stores, and online resell accounts. I take a lot of pride in giving new life to clothing that would most likely end up in a landfill.

Do you take custom orders? Can I send you my own clothes to print on?

I do take a limited number of custom orders. If you snag a spot you get to send me a piece of clothing you already own & love for me to add my art to. I can print on overalls, jeans, dresses, shorts, jackets, and more.

Custom orders are available for international customers (International shipping charges will apply) Custom orders typically have a 6-8 week turnaround time once I receive your item. You can also purchase a new item in your size online and have it shipped to my studio. Custom orders are non-refundable.

How long have you been in business?

I never meant to start a business if I’m being honest. During COVID I lost both of my jobs and had too much time on my hands so I decided to start making prints again. I took off quickly on social media once I started printing on clothing. The rest, as they say, is history.

What fabric do you like to print with?

I mostly print on denim, canvas, and cotton. Cyanotype is an extremely versatile process and is used on lots of different surfaces including paper, textiles, wood, and glass.

Do you ship?

I ship my collections everywhere in the US and Canada. Custom orders are open everywhere internationally (international shipping charges will apply)

How do you print in the winter or when the sun is not shining?

In the winter or on cloudy days I print in my art studio with UV lights.

Where can I buy? How can I purchase your items?

I sell my items directly on my website as limited collections every few months. I also sell occasionally in the summer at local markets here in Bozeman. My online sales sell out quickly so I recommend staying tuned on Instagram and signing up for my email list so you know when drops will be happening.

Do you teach classes?

I host in-person summer workshops at my art studio in Bozeman Montana. Check out all the details in the Workshops tab here on my website. I someday plan to create an online class.

What sizes do you offer?

I try to be as size inclusive as possible. Everyone is welcome here. For each collection, I try to have XS-2XL. Sizing options can be limited because I source items secondhand but I try my best to have options for everyone. I encourage anyone who can’t find their size or need specific measurements to place a custom order.

Do you press your flowers?

I press flowers and botanicals in my homemade flower press. I usually collect botanicals from local flower farms or just on walks around town. I carefully store everything in my studio and reuse the pants for printing many times until they fall apart. I have been printing with most of my flowers for over 2 years now!

How can I stay up to date on sales and offers?

I recommend signing up for my email list here on my website and staying tuned on social media. My website and stories/bio on Instagram will always have info on sales, collections, and upcoming events.
